Hey there! My name is Celena, and I was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland! After graduating from high school (Go REBELS!), my nursing career began locally at Hagerstown Community College. Now with 19 years in healthcare, I have experience in areas including long term care, many medical/surgical specialties, emergency department, family medicine, and proudly serving our nation’s veterans with the VA. My passion for excellence was a driving force in my academic journey toward becoming a doctorate prepared and dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. After working in the hospital and outpatient clinic, I realized that I wanted to spend more time focusing on health promotion and prevention. I am also very passionate about mental health and the essential role that it plays in our overall wellbeing. I am aware that any 2 people can have very different ideas of what “health” and/or “wellness” means for them. For this reason, my goal is to be a partner/collaborator for my patients, ensuring that I am meeting each person where they are in their individual journey.
